Loco Food 乐口福 @ Taipei

Loco Food, which is located in the Zhongshan district, is hailed as one of the top 10 must eat breakfast places in Taipei. It is famous for its Taiwanese omelette which is served on hot iron pan.

I reached there around 9am on a Tuesday morning and was lucky that I didn't have to wait to order. The process is fairly simple: you just need to order and pay up at the cashier counter, after which you will receive a number. You can then proceed to the dining area (enter through the door located on the left side of the cashier counter) and you will be escorted to your seat.

The service was good; the cashier (whom I believe is the boss) was very friendly and he gave me a thumbs up for my guts when he found out that I was travelling alone hahaha. The staffs were very efficient and my order came in less than 10 minutes.

I ordered the Taiwanese omelette 主廚樂口捲 (TWD65) and milk tea 無敵一天奶茶 (TWD35). Please note that the prices have increased since I last visited in May 2017.

The omelette contained cheese, bacon, corn and vegetables. The taste was just okay, nothing to shout about though. I believe Malaysians would probably find this bland; I personally feel that our roti telur is far more superior hahaha wtf.

My advice is to try the chili sauce to enhance the flavors or opt for other types of omelette with different ingredients. You can always check with the staffs before you place your order if you're unsure of what to eat.
