Australian Dairy Company is no doubt a must-go cafe in Hong Kong as recommended by most bloggers for its scrambled eggs and steamed milk. Being a huge fan of eggs, I made sure to include Australian Dairy Company in my itinerary on the second day.
We went there around 9.30am and there was already a long queue forming outside of the cafe. However, we only waited for about 10 to 15 minutes for our turn so I gotta say ADC is really damn efficient. When will Malaysia lolllll
Everything happened so fast at ADC. The waiter came to take our order in less than one minute after we were seated and we were served with food and drinks just 5 minutes later.
Just to give you a heads up, there's no such thing as "service" in Hong Kong. The waiters are mostly impatient and rude. You do not have the luxury of taking your own sweet time to look at the menu to decide what to eat unlike in Malaysia. If you don't order fast enough, chances are you might get scolding from the waiter.
The good news is ADC provides different sets at different times throughout the day such as breakfast set, lunch set and tea set. When in doubt, you can always go for the sets! We tried the breakfast set which is available from 7.30am to 12pm, consisting of toast with butter, fried eggs/ scrambled eggs, macaroni with ham in chicken soup and coffee/ milk tea.
We also ordered ADC's famous steamed milk 蛋白燉奶 to be shared which can be seen (kind of) from the picture above. As you would've noticed, the angle sucks and that's because we were in a hurry to start eating and get out of the cafe before we get chased out wtf. I'm not even joking.

I have a serious love-hate relationship with ADC. Their service is good in terms of efficiency, but so bad in terms of their attitude. I've seen how one of the waiters scolded a customer for asking for him when he was busy. He said something like "Can't you see that I'm busy!?" with the super annoyed look wtf.
But I do have to admit that I would go back to ADC if I happen to visit Hong Kong again, probably just like most people, simply because of its food. The scrambled egg is flavorful on its own while the steamed milk is damn smooth.
So it's still worthwhile to pay a visit to ADC for its food and to have a true experience of Hong Kong's char chan teng culture (the speed, the rudeness and everything lol!).
